When I was in grad school (the first time), Thursdays were my favorite day of the week! No classes on Fridays and, as a research assistant, all it meant was a few hours of work on Friday before the weekend!
Those days are long gone (I mean, 2004 was EIGHT years ago!?!), but a husband coming home from a work trip (and having a day off to rest up before back to work), fall in the air, and two sweet boys to love on, why not celebrate like it's the weekend?!? We did a whole lot of nothing-- racing cars across the floor, snuggling with my baby, family dog pile-- all except for Levi, of course--, playing outside in the sandbox and having races in the yard, enjoying that last bit of sunshine before the dreariness sets in, watching a (veggie tales) movie together as a family. A whole lot of nothing that adds up to a perfect day.
Nothing beats a regular ol' day as a family!
