in training
it's official. i am signed up to run a half marathon in january! hopefully, a flat and warm half marathon, as i wisely signed up to run the race in my SC hometown. i am more than excited to begin training and work towards this goal.
each new race presents a more difficult challenge as training with two little ones won't be as simple as training with just one. nor will finding the time to fit in the necessary runs. not to mention the chilly weather and washington hills. good thing i like a challenge. and good thing we are now members of the Y, so i will most likely be completing most of my training runs on a treadmill while my boys are being lovingly cared for by Y staff.
as i officially begin this training season, i am not setting any specific goals for time. mid-training, i may consider throwing one out there, but i want to enjoy the training for what it is and not have so much pressure of finishing at a certain time. i am also training (in two different states) and running the half marathon with my good friend carissa, so if i can keep up with her, i'll be happy!
here's to starting off a new season of running!
