storybook birthday party

ethan turned two back in june, but since we knew we had family coming to town in july, we decided to have his party later and enjoy the festivities with family. we kept the party small with mostly family and friends who are practically family and it was so wonderful having so many people there who love and know ethan!

the theme i decided on was "classic storybooks". are you my mother, brown bear brown bear what do you see, dr. suess classics, go dog go, and the very hungry caterpillar were among the many books we used for the theme of the party decorations, food, and activities. i had so much fun planning the party and i was so excited seeing it all come together!

i definitely cheated and got most of all of my ideas from pinterest. i mean, why re-invent the wheel, right? i am no creative genius-- coming up with the ideas is not my forte-- however, taking the ideas and turning them into something fun and specific for what i need and want, that i can do!

the party was a huge success! the weather was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the company was terrific. i think ethan had a fun time and watching he and his friends play was more than entertaining and downright hilarious. we were so thankful for such a fun celebration of our sweet two-year-old! happy birthday, ethan!
