hair-in-a-hurry: products, products, products

so i'll admit, i am not the product guru. i'm super cheap when it comes to buying hair products, even though i know often times, it is the product that makes all the difference!

back home in good ol' SC, calming the frizz was essential. out here in way-less-humid Washington state, the frizz is more under control. hallelujah. goodbye, chia pet. hello, great hair? well, that might be a stretch.

for me in particular, and as i have mentioned before, volume and moisture are two necessities. for the moisture, i use a separate shampoo and conditioner (a hairdresser once told me that using a two-in-one shampoo and conditioner kind of had a canceling effect. this won't do. i need all the moisture i can get). i actually have a fru-fru shampoo and conditioner right now (meaning it costs more than a couple of bucks per bottle) that someone gave me and i will say that it has not made all the difference. i feel perfectly justified going back to my pantene or dove. i do have some leave-in conditioner and de-frizz moisturizer stuff that i use and really like, but again, i'm super cheap when it comes to buying and using these. want to know my money-saving tip? don't use them every day and they last longer. brilliant, right?

there is one product of which i will sing its praises and that is my bed head. i love it. my most recent hairdresser (LOVE her! how can she ever be replaced out here in WA?) recommended this to me and it actually does what it claims to do. hardly believable. you just spray your hair (from underneath) and then dry and style and the volume magically appears.

i mean, who doesn't want to be Queen for a Day?

so, there you have it. what products have changed your life?
