short and sweet

Spending an entire day at home, reading library books, building forts, and eating lunch on the porch with my two munchkins.

Remembering that 6 years ago today, I had the best and first date with my husband.

Laughing at the peace sign flag that my neighbors hung across the street. It's purple. And awesome.

Did a Jillian shred workout, now eating chocolate chips while I fold laundry.

Reading in 1 Peter this morning these encouraging words, "and after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen." (5:10-11)

Falling asleep on my 3-year-old's bed next to him at naptime.

Finding a toy train in the trash can and wondering not wondering where Levi has been playing.

Feeling the Kung-fu movements of our sweet baby girl and wondering what she will look like, what she will be like, and if she'll have curly hair.

Looking forward to a weekend with my family, celebrating an amazing man who I am blessed to call my husband and forever grateful to call my babies' daddy.

i'm thankful for a not-so-crazy day. for my family. for God's grace. and mercy. for life. for a beautiful place to live. for freedom to enjoy the world we have been given. and, in the midst of all these things, for the hope of heaven.

happy weekend, friends!
