our week in pictures

what a week!

I have this weird tradition of running on certain holidays. specifically, I really like to run on my birthday, thanksgiving, new years, and easter. kind of like a "new start, new beginnings" kind of tradition. this was my view as I turned down our alley to start my run/day. seemed perfect for reflecting on Christ's resurrection and the life we have in Him!

introducing...bath paint! nothing livens up bathtime for littles like getting to paint in the bathtub!

...and for those less amused by the paint...there is always the old "holding the rubber duck by your mouth" trick!

happy easter! from the family who hasn't seen the sun in a few months, ha! what a glorious day it turned out to be as we celebrated the Jesus is ALIVE!

no hurry, like no hurry at all, but I love love love watching these two grow up and look forward to seeing the boys/men they will become.

this week was the start of food makeover in our house. not too many drastic changes, but lots more veggies, less processed, and no (what I call) "obvious" sugar. I also kicked it off with a few new recipes, just to shake things up a bit, and these Mexican stuffed shells were the perfect Mexican/Italian combo!

adding to the fun was my first crock pot chicken-- it turned out fabulous, and did I mention super easy? I then made my own chicken stock that I am going to use to make homemade chicken noodle soup! totally feeling like Pioneer Woman!

despite our week being filled with viruses and infections (currently, I am the only one in our family not on an antibiotic), we took a trip to the zoo! this little guy had a great time watching "dory and nemo"!

and this little guy was taking it all in. he seemed particularly mesmerized by all the animals!

I don't even know how to caption this. he just cracks me up.

so does this little monkey. busy, sweet, curious, all rolled into one precious boy!

oh, let the fun begin! shopping clearance for baby girl T3 is way fun! especially when you find $1.50 leggings and a total purchase of less than ten bucks!

snuggling with my little busy boy-- one of my favorites. feeling his body heat radiate from his body as he shivers on my lap with a double ear infection-- least favorite, no doubt. bless his little heart.

rest, little one. get all the rest you can!

this boy doesn't miss a thing! we'll have a brief conversation about something that we read or see and he'll bring it up days later. he's starting to ask more "why?" questions. tonights? "why did the rain make the spider fall down?" as we sang "itsy, bitsy spider". love to see how his little mind works!

we spent the morning chatting with my sister and her kids...awesome technology, allowing us to catch up and see each other! I love seeing this sweet girl!

...and this cutie pie! so sweet, these girls, and becoming so grown up!

sunrises, new beginnings, precious boys, trendy-already baby girl on-the-way, yummy food, and family! lots of favorites this week! happy Friday to you!
