a little bit of everything

it's monday again...as a stay-at-home mom, my days tend to run together and feel mostly the same...i often have to remind myself what day it is...is that true for you?

anyways, back to the miscellaneousness...

a. who are ya gonna call? dustbuster! ok, so confession: i've never even seen a ghostbuster movie, but that's one of those acquired quotes (like dumb and dumber, you just learn the quotes from being around people who have watched the movie). the real point of this miscellany note is to tell you about my new appliance, the dustbuster. where have you been all my adult/mommyhood life? ok so for the last two years? i'm not good about dragging out the vacuum, especially for just a small mess, so this new dustbuster is a lifesaver! we have hardwood floors in our new home and the dustbuster makes zapping up a mess a cinch! i admit, i've gotten a little dustbuster happy around here...and my house is better off as a result!

b. jumpsuit, really? while doing some online browsing/shopping last week, i came across this new/old style: the jumpsuit. are you kidding me? i am certain there are some women who can wear this outfit and get away with it because they have the right body type or whatever, but do they really want to get away with it? yikes. i think the jumpsuit is a terrible idea. (disclaimer: this is my $0.02. feel free to love the jumpsuit.)

c. 5K fun. my sister-in-law, rebecca, is here visiting! and since my husband was out of town all week, it was especially good timing for her to come (except that she hardly saw him, but for me, it was great to have her company!)! she and i, pushing about 60+ pounds of precious cargo, ran our first Washington race! it wasn't my fastest 3.1 miles, considering i have only been running about once or twice a week and i am nowhere close to being in shape for running hills AND i was pushing said precious cargo, but we had a fun time!

d. bees, please. my father-in-law, keeps bees as a hobby. this year is the first honey harvest! we are the happy recipients of this harvest and the honey tastes delicious!

e. monumental. this week has been a big week. my oldest, ethan, turned TWO on tuesday and my youngest, levi, turned FOUR MONTHS on saturday. yeesh, where has the time gone? these boys are changing so much, before my very eyes. and while i love seeing them grow and transition to new stages, i can't help picturing them as little boys then young men and one day, grown men. thankfully, there's a lot of time between now and then, but i still am amazed at how quickly the days go by!

f. books, books, books! i am hosting an USBORNE book e-party! check out the website for some awesome children's books!

g. speaking of books, i am doing my very first book review! more details to come, so stay tuned for my thoughts on a brand-new book Beyond Bath Time by Erin Davis!

linking up with carissa on this lovely monday!

miscellany monday at lowercase letters
