hair-in-a-hurry: the hair tie
i mean, who doesn't use a hairtie?
i think any picture of me you will find, there is a rubber band around my wrist. the only reason there isn't one in my wedding picture is because my amazing wedding director thought to grab it for me! i mean, what was i going to do with it at my wedding? my hair was already up. anyways, i usually have two, in fact; one to use and one to share. or in case one suddenly breaks or gets lost forever and i'm caught hairbandless for all eternity. it could happen.
i'm a mom and 7 days out of 7, this hair is going up. i'm so terrible about wearing my hair down. i had a friend in college that would run with her hair down. it kind of drove me crazy.
i guess the hairtie is the permanent replacement for the scrunchy. ah, the scrunchy. gotta love it. only please don't love it enough to bring it back into fashion, fashion-powers-that-be.
so, ponytails, buns, braids, etc...all rely on this fabulous hair accessory. i consider the hairtie the foundation for almost all hairdos. i wonder how much Goody or other such brands profit on the hair elastic band alone? i bet Eve wore a hairtie.
ok, enough about this. thanks for reading. more to come about other hair-in-a-hurry options!
