end-of-June miscellaneousness

after a much-needed family time together weekend, it's back at it again! happy monday to you!

friday night family time!

{bye, house} bittersweet as it is, our house is officially sold! it came down to the wire, getting little bits of paperwork and details together, but we are now home-free! Jesus gets all the glory for this one-- you know what a crummy market it is these days. we have had such a smooth process-- after 5 weeks on the market, we had an offer; now, two months later, someone else is taking up residence at our beloved maple grove home. we are truly thankful!

{who's your star?} as pathetic as it is, i look forward to the day each week (usually tuesday) when foodnetwork.com posts their most recent episode of food network star! i watch it during one of our several-a-day nursing sessions and then i am all caught up til the next week's showing! my favs are retro emily and sorta-out-there justin. anybody watching this season? who are your favorites???

{goodwill hunting} i totally scored at goodwill this weekend. i ran in to quickly peruse their furniture as i have been in the market for some sort of shelf/table/something to hold books and toys for the boys room. (note i ran in: the boys were home with daddy, making this errand run possible!) i immediately found the piece i liked and heard a man announce their 50% off furniture sale! i also needed a few children's books for ethan's upcoming birthday party-- they were 30% off! i almost couldn't believe it. i think that is the most fun and successful Goodwill experience i have ever had!

the fun purchase! ten bucks. score.

{books, books, books} i am a terrible salesperson, but hopefully a good messenger :). my online USBORNE book party is still going! check it out for some great kid's books! the book party will close this Thursday, June 28th at 10pm (PDT).

{it's a party} speaking of parties and speaking of books, we will be in party mode around here soon! we delayed my two-year-old's birthday party for a month (until family is in town in July!) and i am getting all the props and ideas together for this fun occasion! i am far from creative, but i can follow someone else's ideas, so between pinterest and some other online help, we are having a classic children's book party! hopefully i can get some projects done this week-- i am super excited about them, just need to make the time to get them done. party and pictures to come soon!

linking up with carissa today for this miscellany monday

  1. Hey there Pretty Lady, found you through the link up. Congratulations about your house selling. I know what that's like 3 times over we have bought and sold the homes that our 4 kids were brought home to etc. It really is bittersweet.
We are going to have a party here in July too. My 8 year old Isaiah is planning away for it now. Party planning is so fun.
I LOVE the thrift store. It's a dangerous place for me seriously.
Happy to be your newest follower.
