time to tell

I am roughly the size of a large plum. I don't weigh much, but there's a lot to me. I have a beating heart and a brain that has already formed right and left hemispheres. the detail and complexity in my tiny form is beyond any masterpiece you can find in the world. I have small fingernail and toenail beds where nails are beginning to form. I can flex my knees and elbows and movement has become my new favorite activity. I have kidneys, a liver, a spleen. hormones are being produced by my pituitary gland. white blood cells are even being made by the bone marrow in my body. most, if not all, of the systems in my body are formed and now I get to mature and gain weight and I have six or seven months left for this most important job. what I may or may not know now is that I have a loving family awaiting my arrival-- two big brothers who will become my good friends and no doubt my protectors, and a mommy and daddy who will take care of my needs and love me for the rest of my life.

I am baby thomasson number 3, due to arrive August 5th, 2013. I am full of life and potential and I am blessed.
