twenty-three months
you know when people tell you that the first year of your baby's life goes by in a flash? they're right.
you know what these same people forget to tell you? that the second year of your baby's life goes by even faster than the first.
ethan turned 23 months old the other day. it was then that i realized i'll probbaly stop counting his age in months. he's going to be two. that sounds so big to me.
i love this little guy so much. we've had our share of growing pains. he is almost two, after all. and quite good at it sometimes. but we've had our share of smiles, laughs, songs, and fun! he is almost two, after all. it's a wonderful age, as these little ones are learning more about the world around them yet they still think that it revolves around them. they have expanding vocabularies, yet still express frustration when we don't know exactly what they mean. they have so much emotion and they aren't quite sure how to express it fully, or rein it in. it's a hard age, but a fun age.
i'm so thankful for myalmost-two-year-old twenty-three-month-old.
