wednesday confessions
happy wednesday! i am up with late-night feedings for our new munchkin...what better to do than write some confessions?
1. i am slightly obsessed with my pageview tallies for this blog. i must admit, i frequently check to see how many pageviews i receive in a day. i know i'm a small-time blogger, but it still makes a girl feel good when people want to read what i have to say (or just see pictures of my cute little boys. let's be real here.).
2. yesterday, i was changing what was already a poopy diaper of our newborn. in the process, a forceful squirt of poop the color of french's mustard came shooting out...all over my hand!!! eeewwww!!! it took me a good minute or so to get over the shock and do something about it. the best part: my toddler laughed at what happened. gross side note: the poop got on my pants. it was a few more hours before i changed them. eeewww!
3. this is more a pet peeve announcement than a confession, BUT i don't like when someone says (or writes...ahem, google!) that it's so-and-so's ____th birthday, when that person is long gone. it's not their ___th birthday. it would have been, but they passed away. it's confusing. especially when it's in the 80 or 90 range and it's unclear if it really is the person's birthday or a celebration of what was their birthday. anyways,...
4. i kind of like the mesh underwear they give you after you have a baby. i mean, no panty lines, no constricting bands, nothing but comfort. brilliant idea. yeah, they're not the most attractive item of clothing and they cover almost your entire belly but after being pregnant for months, you're already used to that.
5. having two boys under two feels like a reality show at times. just the past few days have been eventful, and this is only the beginning! what's my confession here? i am so thankful for and in love with my husband. he is incredibly patient, extremely loving, such a hard worker, and completely selfless at the same time. we had our first family outing on monday (all four of us), were able to somehow successfully get two little boys and myself out the door on time, i'm still catching my breath as we drive along out of the neighborhood, and my husband says, "isn't this great?! i love having kids!". that's a good man right there. so glad he's mine.
haha great confessions. I check my pageviews often too :) don't you just love the newborn time--full of poop-related confessions to fill up your wednesday posts! :)
