MIA

so, my dear 23 blog followers (and secret followers that maybe bring the tally up to, oh i don't know, 27)....if you've been paying attention, you've noticed that i haven't blogged much lately. it's not for lack of content; i have 5 blogging ideas in my head right now. it's not for time, necessarily; although the days and weeks are flying by at a neck-breaking pace. frankly, it's lack of motivation; blogging (and all electronic social networking, for that matter) just hasn't been a priority lately.

that said, here's some of what has been going on...

~our CSA has begun! this summer, we joined a community supported agriculture group with some friends. each week, we get fresh (and organic) fruit and veggies from a local farm-- whatever was harvested that particular week! it is a cooking challenge, for sure, but it is so exciting to pick up the box and see what we're going to be eating that week!

week one (i took this picture on manual settings, by the way. far from perfect, but hey, i'm learning!)

veggie plate: mac-n-cheese (a "veggie" in my book, or at least on the cracker barrel menu!), broccoli, collard greens, cornbread, and beets

~summer is on it's way! here's ethan, lathered up with sunscreen, in his swimsuit and rash guard, ready for the pool with his new turtle float! he loved it!

~Easter weekend, we not only celebrated Jesus' resurrection and victory over death, we also enjoyed some special family time! my brother and his new bride were in town. here are some pictures from the weekend...

david and maritza, "cutting the cake". the were married underwater, so this was their official wedding cake-- complete with scuba diver bride and groom!
