miscellany monday

1. cosby
confession: i have been making my way through the entire cosby show. i started back in september with season 1 and am now on season 5. it's great. maybe a bit unrealistic (what lawyer-mom and physician-dad parents are home as much as they are?), but definitely a great real-life-issue-family-actually-loves-each-other sitcom.

2. space shuttle
Endeavor. i saw it. in person. how thrilling. i couldn't help thinking about the astronauts. how in the world did they sleep last night (besides lying down, haha. probably the last time they'll sleep lying down in a few weeks, though.)? were they on cloud nine this morning (i'm sorry, the puns just keep coming!)? how absolutely exciting and scary and unbelievable to spend the next two weeks in space! would you like to see pictures? long story-- i'll save that for another post!

3. it is what it is
i have been hearing this phrase a lot lately. i don't know if i like it. it sounds so depressing to me. who knows, maybe i'll start using it one of these days, but for now, i hope i take "what it is" and make it something greater!

4. sympathy
on this said road trip to see the space shuttle, i learned something new about my son. he's very sympathetic. i'll tell you why. we were traveling with another friend and her two boys (3 years and 10 months). every time the other kids would cry, ethan-- without skipping a beat-- would join in. it was almost comical. well, it was by the end, cause there was nothing i could do but laugh. what a sweet sensitive boy i have, always wanting to join others in their suffering! yeesh!

5. scrubbing bubbles
i have a favorite new bathroom cleaner. well, not really new, but definitely my favorite! it's called scrubbing bubbles extend-a-clean! it's awesome! i first purchased it cause i had a coupon and i may never go back to whatever i was using before. you simply spray (it just keeps spraying til i let go-- another valuable feature), wait a few minutes and pretty much just wipe it away. grime, scum, dirt, it all just wipes away. love it. any cleaning products you love?
