mrs. not-so-creative
there are a lot of creative people in this world. i'm pretty sure i'm not one of them. most of the time, i'm ok with this. i stay busy enough without having creative things to do, too. but, sometimes, i really wish i was more creative.
in just a few short weeks, my sweet baby boy turns one year old! planning his birthday party is one of those times i desire more creativity. i think creativity could save money (note then emphasis on could-- i also think it could be an extrememly expensive hobby). i think creativity would make parties and hostessing even more fun than they already are.
ok, so back to birthday party. inspired by a creative friend, i decided to make something for ethan's party. the theme is set, so all i needed to do was purchase a few materials, carve out some time for creative juices to flow, and we would be all set. walking into Michael's craft store was like being on the aisle of school supplies in wal-mart-- i love it! i get so excited, even though i have no clue what i would do with half of the materials in that store!
well, i purchased a few sheets of cardstock and i was ready to go! i made a name banner for ethan's party and, even though it's a small step in the world of creativity, i did it and i love it and that's all that matters!
