eight months!

eight months have flown by! my little baby has become a little boy!

warning: if you don't want to see a gazillion pictures of ethan, then look no further. if, on the other hand, you are ready to see cuteness beyond belief, please continue. :) am i a biased mama, or what?!?!

ethan LOVES bathtime! we have moved to the big tub and he loves playing in the water, chewing on his bath toys, and splashing around. if only i could keep him from trying to stand...

ethan met his great-grandma (amanda's grandma)...he's about as big as she is (she's 4.11)!

i found him sitting on his knees, playing with his music table. so cute!

i feel like this has been a huge month of change for ethan, more than any before. he certainly has changed each month, but this 8-month mark has just seemed more drastic to me. ethan started crawling a few weeks ago! he is still content to sit and play with his toys sometimes, but he loves his new mobility-- he is very happy to explore and follow us around the house. he has also started attempting to pull up on things around the house-- he hasn't mastered it yet, but i know he's close! now that he is more mobile, he is eating a lot more! in addition to his milk, he eats about a jar and a half of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! he has mastered the finger-grasping and loves to pick up goldfish, bananas, cheerios, and puffs and put them in his mouth. it's so cute. ethan is a great sleeper and takes two naps a day. he wakes up happily and will play in his crib with his stuffed animals until we come get him. and, boy, he gets excited to see us come for him! ethan also received his first haircut, which clenched the "big boy" look for me. i wasn't sure i liked how big it made him look at first, but i am getting used to it! he really is such a sweet boy and i am so thankful for him!
