26.2

26.2 miles. easy to say, but when you are placing one foot in front of the other for every.single.step...well, it's not so easy!

my husband just completed his first marathon a few weeks ago! he has been thinking about it for a while, so we were very excited when the time was right for him to sign up, train (during a deployment. in the boring desert. by himself.), and complete the race. he not only ran it, he rocked it. at 3 hours and 40 minutes, he finished first in his age group!
moments after finishing. ethan was far from cooperating at this point. you'd think he had run the marathon. :)

this is our little guy, sleeping in while daddy was running! i had to wake him up so we could walk to the finish line and cheer for daddy as he finished!

what an accomplishment!
