THANKS

This week has been a good week. unfortunately, i haven't had much motivation to blog, but it has been a good week otherwise. what constitutes a good week? well, ethan and i have had several days at home together. sweet time. thanks to an uneventful week and the discipline to get in bed early, i feel rested (amazing what a nap can do for growing a baby!). i have had consistent and quality time in the Word. i am going to spend almost an entire week with my husband for Thanksgiving. yes, it is a good week indeed.

Holiday desserts...mmm...they are the best, aren't they? this deliciousness is what i am going to make for Thanksgiving dessert...salted caramel chocolate cake. if it turns out and is even close to being as tasty as this picture looks, i will then post the recipe. stay tuned.

A winner, after all! i won my very first blog giveaway! thanks to this girl, i now have a lovely green dishmat to call my very own! who says doing the dishes can't be exciting?

Naptime has changed around here. little man is now officially down to one nap a day. surprisingly, it has been a wonderful change (i was very resistant at first). we not only have more time to go for a walk, play together, or run errands in the morning, but we also have a restful afternoon where both mama and son take a nap, leaving both time and energy for household chores and projects to be accomplished. ah, change can be a good thing!

Keeping with the thankfulness theme, i must say that i am very appreciative for my health insurance. as a medical provider, i have seen countless patients with no insurance or insurance with crazy-high deductibles and the burden this can be. i am thankful for the blessing of the insurance we have, albeit, government insurance.

Self-portrait attempt. happy 29 weeks!
