miscellany monday

i'm linking up with lowercase letters today!

1. 9 months: ethan is 9 months old! soon, i will dedicate an entire post to this past month. in the meantime, we are celebrating the past 9 months of joy and sweetness that is a part of our lives! at his 9 month checkup, ethan weighed in at 20lbs 9oz and is 29-3/4 inches! his newest tricks are pulling himself up on everything as well as clapping his hands (as of today!)! we're so proud of our sweet boy!

2. anti anti-perspirant: a few weeks ago, i decided to can the aluminum (haha) and go for a more natural alternative for my armpits. i chose Tom's natural deodorant and have been very pleased. i decided that if i don't miss a daily application of aluminum, then maybe i'm better off without it. friends, let me know if you think i'm stinky and i might consider going back!


3. dubya: i started reading Decision Points by George W. Bush last week. i am addicted to it. i enjoy learning about his life, family, presidency, etc. i am learning history, some of which i lived through, just didn't understand or wasn't completely aware of. shame on me. i respect this man and his family greatly and am thankful for his dedication to preserving America's freedom, his thoughtfulness toward all human life, and his strength in his humility.

4. sweetness. i finished my cake decorating class! i am glad i participated, i definitely learned a lot and look forward to honing my cake decorating skills in the future! here is my final class project-- a cake of roses!
