1.i recently picked up a book from the library and all they had was the "adult print" version, i.e. big letters. the content is good (my first Andy Stanley book), but I have to admit, the huge print is distracting!

33 weeks pregnant and the days are speeding by! We are making house preparations for our baby girl's arrival, which includes moving our boys into a room together! as a room-sharer for most of my life, I am excited for them to experience the fun of being close to their siblings. our baby girl is growing well and each appointment provides sweet confirmation that she is healthy and happy! we will see her again on ultrasound as the due date approaches, to have a better idea of her size (as her nearest older brother was a few ounces shy of eleven pounds!). I am excited to see her once more on ultrasound before we finally meet this princess in person!

3. Pregnant or not, nothing brings tears to my eyes more than watching people be baptized! At (the second service at) our church yesterday, over ten men, women, and children professed Jesus as their Savior and were baptized. When the Holy Spirit shows up, and Jesus is preached, hearts are changed!

| this boy was out! in the middle of the singing part of our worship service, with baptisms (lots of cheering) in between. impressive. |
4. a fun memory from childhood were relaxed Sundays. the morning was busy, as my dad pastored and we all were a part of the "helps ministry", but the afternoons included a big lunch made by mom, and then playing, hanging out, etc. I distinctly remember golf being on tv (only if it wasn't baseball season). no one in our family is a golf fan, but I know nothing more conducive for an afternoon nap than turning the channel to a golf tournament! fast-forward many years, and our Sabbaths are filled with worshipping together as a family and playing with our boys; less technology, fewer projects and errands that keep us away from each other, and rejoicing and relaxing in the blessing of rest. it is such a necessary thing.
