good news

i remember the first time i heard it. i cried. and i think i have cried every time since. the most beautiful hymn with words that so clearly lay out the Gospel. this is what Jesus Christ has done for me and you. this is why we celebrate His death, burial, and resurrection.

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea
A great High Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me

I know that while in Heaven He stands
