evelyn claire-- two months
ah! already getting behind on these updates.
our sweet girl is two months old! she is precious. quiet and content, she often takes the backseat to her more vocal big brothers. I love when I get to sit and feed her and make a point to enjoy extra snuggles with her when I can. she is beginning to smile more frequently and, oh my goodness, it melts my heart every single time! she will coo and make sweet baby noises when I talk to her-- it just never gets old, even with a third baby! she's starting to fill out and get that squishy baby look-- a perfect armful. she loves being held and will often fall asleep in my arms. I love it.
at her 2-month checkup, she weighed almost 12 lbs (an exact 4 lb weight gain since birth) and was 23 inches long. she is wearing size 1 diapers and is fitting nicely in her 3-month size clothes. Evelyn has fallen right into a great daytime schedule-- eats every 3 hours or so, has her wake time to wiggle and smile and look around, then takes a nap until the next feeding. her nap locations vary-- sometimes in her cradle, bouncy seat, swing, or in her carseat. at night, she goes anywhere from 6-8 hours (so only one feeding a night). yeah, girl.
she is as sweet as she is beautiful. her big brothers love her and give her kisses all throughout the day. ethan wants to be her protector and levi wants to make sure she has plenty of blankets and stuffed animals and, of course, a pacifier (his favorite accessory).
we love you, Evelyn Claire! you are a joy to us and such a blessing to our family.
