...is not here yet. this is a post about her, but no worries, she is right where she needs to be at the moment!

however, we have named our sweet girl.

naming your own children can be so tough. not only do you have to find the names that you like, you want something that has meaning. something that will hopefully suit them and be appropriate throughout their lifetime. I think it is a special thing to be named by someone. such a momentous opportunity we have as parents.

Evelyn Claire Thomasson

Evelyn: life (Hebrew); beautiful bird (French)
Claire: clear, bright (Latin, English, and French)

I have loved the name Evelyn for a girl since I was pregnant with our second son. obviously, we didn't get to use it that time around, so it has been in the back of my head ever since, waiting for a chance to be used! Evelyn is a beautiful and elegant and classic name. I think it will be perfect for our daughter.

Claire has been a favorite for both my husband and I, since those early married days, when we would chat about "what we wanted to name our kids someday"! funny how some names just stick around.

in less than five weeks (give or take a couple), our daughter will be born. we are thrilled to meet her and bring her home as a part of our family. Evelyn Claire, we love you so much!
