30 days til 30!
i'm not one of those people who freaks out over my age (well, i haven't yet). birthdays are still fun to me, and each year is a celebration! that said, 30 is right around the corner! it's hard to believe that i will soon be a woman in my 30's, when i still feel 26 most of the time!
what will the entry into the next decade hold? i'm not quite sure, but i have a month to think about it, maybe set some goals, and get excited about these next several years!
looking back over my 20's, i would definitely say it has definitely been a busy and full ten years! here are some highlights:
~graduated college
~ran my first half marathon (to complete a total of seven in the ten year span)
~moved into my first apartment
~got my first cell phone
~completed a master's program in epidemiology
~ran a marathon
~taught abstinence/sex education to middle school students
~moved four times to various parts of charleston
~completed PA school (grad school round 2)
~met the love of my life
~dated, became engaged to, and married the love of my life (all within a year's time!)
~traveled to 15 countries outside the USA!
~started my first "real" job as a PA
~first pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby boy!
~bought and owned the same car the entire decade
~endured my induction to military life with two deployments, several away-from-home trainings (the air force calls them TDYs), and coming up on my first military move (PCS)
~second pregnancy, to deliver after turning 30!
i have had a wonderul time in my 20's, i have learned and experienced so much, i have done things i never thought i could do, and have done things i never thought i would do! i am thankful for where God has me at this point in my life, and i am grateful that there are things to continue to look forward to in the years to come!
