10 months

full of energy and sweetness, ethan is 10 months old!

to say he is a busy boy is a humongous understatement! just in the past week, he has transitioned from a "crawler/cruiser" to an "into-everything crawler/cruiser"! but he is still so, so sweet! his smile still lights up my day and his laugh fills my heart with joy! one of our favorite games is me chasing him around on the floor-- he cackles and crawls as fast as his little legs will carry him, looking back every few seconds to make sure i'm still after him!

in addition to becoming more mobile, ethan has been busy growing his two front teeth! bring on the steak, haha. ethan is a good eater and is starting to prefer foods he can eat with his hands over baby food (although i still feed him the pureed stuff, too). some of his favorites include sweet potatoes (baked and cut into chunks), whole-wheat pancakes, blueberries, carrots, box mac-n-cheese, quartered grapes, and fruit cups. it's really fun that he is able to eat a greater variety-- he always wants whatever i'm eating, too!

ethan moved into a bigger carseat this month, after growing too tall for his baby carrier. he is still rear-facing, but in a toddler car seat. he has always been a good traveler and i think he likes the extra room he has in this new seat. room for more toys, that is. he plays hard, even as we ride along in the car. his recent favorite being a police truck that a family friend gave him-- it has buttons on the top that can be pushed to hear police sirens and truck noises. needless to say, ethan has figured it out and the sirens are a constant background noise!

ethan loves music (and dancing when he hears it), babbles and grunts as he plays, claps his hands and says "yay", climbs up the stairs every chance he gets, waves "hi" (and says something that sure sounds like "hi" at the same time!), hugs my neck and gives me kisses (i absolutely love this!), splashes in the bathtub, and will not sit still for a diaper/clothes changing! that's our boy!
