it's beginning to look a lot like christmas

..FINALLY! i have to admit, i was a little slack in getting the christmas decorations out this year. not because i'm not excited-- i love christmastime and all the lights and decorations are so fun! i guess because, now, as a new mom, unpacking decorations and putting them out is one more thing to do! and when the dishes and laundry aren't done (not to mention christmas cards and shopping), it's hard to complete an "elective" task! but, alas, it is done, and i am excited about the christmas-y feel in our home! ethan was a great motivation, seeing how he responded to the lights of christmas as we have been out and about this season! it is such a joy to see how our sweet little boy takes in each new experience!

finally pulled out the metal colander and wooden spoon for ethan to make some noise! the christmas tree is in the background...which is why i chose this picture!
