mid-week thoughts
well, i stink at blogging, i'm pretty sure. i like the idea of it, but i forget to do it!
21 weeks pregnant today! feeling well and displaying a not-so-obvious baby bump! when i am tempted to start wearing my maternity clothes (pretty unnecessarily at this point), i remind myself that i have plenty of time and that i should enjoy the variety while i have it! we have an ultrasound friday-- our OB appointment-- we are so excited to see our baby!!! for those that may not know, we are participating in an MUSC research study to determine a normal fetal growth curve for healthy babies born to normal moms (if only they knew...). what this translates to for us is that we have the opportunity to see our baby in 3D six times!!! our first was at 12 weeks-- absolutely amazing that even at that small size, we were able to see fingers and toes and all the details of our growing baby! our next 3D ultrasound is next week, so if we don't see if it's a baby girl or boy this week, we are most likely sure to see it in the coming weeks! how fun!
for those that care, i am feeling great! still running (when my bladder cooperates) and occasional p90x with Brian (modified, of course...laying off the pull-ups and "real" push-ups) and definitely enjoying some leisurely walks as well! this is the hardest time of the year for me to stay motivated to exercise, so i am thankful for some indoor options to keep me going.
last post i told how we were working on the nursery-- we painted the room and it looks great! 3 of the walls are "pea pod"-- maybe 2 shades lighter than kelly green-- and one wall is chocolate brown "mudslide". the fun flare is the brown stripe that goes around the green walls at chairrail's height-- i love it! thanks to my co-worker ashley for the idea! i go upstairs and take a peek at least once a day just to see the room and smile...i'm sure i'll be doing the same thing in a few months when there's a sweet baby up there to stare at!
i'm actually at work right now-- why am i blogging, you may ask??? well, i get paid to be available for patients so when there are no patients, i blog. or read. or watch Law and Order. i promise i work and attempt to earn my paycheck! :) i am thankful for the busy days and thankful for the slower times too.
