meditation week i-don't-know-what
beginning the first of may, I am reading through the psalms, just one at a time (so should complete them all in 5 months), and the "proverb of the day". simultaneously, I am reading through 1 Samuel.
i haven't been choosing a passage each week, just slowly reading through the verses in each day's reading. it has been rich, for sure. the psalms and proverbs always are.
just a few comments about today's reading-- the ever-popular and familiar psalm 23. such a comforting passage, full of the richness found in walking with the Lord. today, reading through, what stood out was "He...He...He" over and over. He leads us by still waters. He restores our soul. He leads us in paths of righteousness. while there is so much to rejoice in when considering the rest and provision found in Christ, it is always about Him. He is the source. it's not about the "provisions", it's about Him. "for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me." (v.4)

"You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore". Psalm 16:11
