Happy Valentine's Day! i'm linking up with lowercase letters again on this love-filled day!

1. hey, haircut!

well, i guess it was time for Ethan to have his hair cut! i was hesitant, i will admit. Ethan's hair is somewhat his trademark! but no little boy, much less one with a military dad, should have his hair in his eyes. i was so used to swooping his bangs over, i hardly even noticed! so, last night was the night. brian held Ethan and i went at him with the scissors-- talk about scary! it's hard enough to feed the kid, much less cut a straight line across his forehead. we all survived and here he is, as cute as ever:

2. will you be my Valentine?

this picture was taken the week brian and i started dating in June 2007. yes, we posed for this picture outside of coldstone. maybe we both knew this was going somewhere. :)

this was and, perhaps, still is my favorite picture of us. taken at a wedding of some friends in July 2007, love was in the air!

3. music to my ears.

at our recent visit with Brian's family, we came home with a xylophone that was Brian's and his sister's when they were kids. Ethan loves chewing on the stick (see picture above), but he has figured out how to play this new instrument! i love hearing him hit the keys with delight (and wincing-- he blinks with every hit) and he bounces up and down when he hears the music it makes.

5. toodledo

yes, you read that correctly. toodledo is a web-based approach to organized tasks and chores. your guarantee to productivity, haha. a friend told me about this website after reading my Danny Tanner post. thanks, Christie! if you have a fancy phone, you can even make it an app and have all your daily tasks at your fingertips! pretty cool! i'll let you know how it goes, but this just might revolutionize chores in the 21st century!
