...less than 8 weeks after having a baby.
...toting all three kids.
...in strollers.
...with paint involved.
We might just be a little crazy. But at least we're consistent.
A good friend was in town this weekend and was planning to run a race with her friend. Well, the friend bailed on her at the last minute (like, 8pm the night before), so my friend asks if I want to take her place. Sure! Why not? I mean, piece of cake, right? We talked through a few logistics (I'll push the double jogger, can you push the single jogger, how fast exactly are you hoping to run, what if it's crazy and we never get there), and we were set.
Saturday morning came and, much to my amazement, went so smoothly. Like, could not have gone more smoothly. Loaded up kids and strollers, navigated our way to parking, waited at the start. sweet.
the race was SO fun. picture thousands of people, wearing white shirts splattered with paint. no mile markers, no time clock, people stopping throughout the race to take pictures. every half a mile or so there would be a "paint station" where you would run through a segment with people on each side, squirting you with paint. nicknamed "the happiest 5K on the planet". yep.
we had fun. ethan wanted to squirt paint, so at the end we had five minutes of paint glory and let him cover us with the green powdery stuff.
